Short history about the company and our plans for the future.

By founding APESS® GmbH in 2021, we created the basis for even more intensive support for the heat pump market in Germany, Switzerland, South Tyrol (Italy), and Austria. A clear sales structure, managed by the parent company in Villach, Austria, is provided to give investors and planners the opportunity to implement real sustainable energy concepts in their properties and thus to act economically and sustainably. The merger of Air 2000 GmbH and Filzmaier Klima- und Energietechnik GmbH has brought together a wealth of commitment, knowledge, decades of experience and extensive know-how, and forms the foundation for our innovative company in writing a new, green chapter in the history of heat pumps.

APESS® - organised as a virtual company

APESS® operates in a dynamic buyer’s market. All our customers demand unique and innovative solutions that meet the highest delivery and quality standards. This extends to customised product engineering. Climate protection and the customers’ efforts to massively reduce their CO2 footprints are the driving forces behind this development. No green-washing, but honest endeavours by focusing on sustainable coniditioning of buildings.

 

APESS® is organised as a virtual company. Depending on the customers’ orders and requirements, APESS® regular staff, engineering offices, self-employed experts, specialised enterprises, freelancers and suppliers form a business network and, in close coordination, carry out targeted projects of the most varied sizes, complexity and locations. When desired, we are also happy to work with our customer’s “house planner” and preferred installation company.

This approach makes the projects less sensitive to the failure of individual project partners, as they can be quickly re-placed. Depending on the assignment, the virtual project teams vary in size and are individually composed and thus have tailor-made core competences. Due to the virtuality, the physical location of the individual team members is irrele-vant. The collaboration takes place internationally via a state-of-the-art information and communication infrastructure that makes project planning independent of time and space. All team members are focused on their core competen-cies, and the institutionalisation of central management functions is largely dispensed with. The APESS ® GmbH is the frame of the common market presence. It is the holder of all process patents and owns the simulation software for the exposition of the entire air-conditioning process, the core of every customer offer. The time-limited, project-oriented form of cooperation makes the virtual company independent of economic fluctuations, as the overhead costs can be planned minimally and scaled to the order situation at any time. Many classic administrative tasks are omitted in this virtual form and carried out by the individual team members themselves.

These dynamic structures guarantee high efficiency, promptness and flexibility as well as maximum of customer orien-tation. Knowledge maximisation and the bundling of individual partners is the great strength of APESS®. Each customer project is individual and the findings flow into the APESS® knowledge base and its further development without delay. This is the prerequisite for the development of high-tech products and specialised services and their implementation in time and budget. Therefore, the question of the size and number of employees of APESS® as a virtual company is al-ways dependent on the number, size and internationality of the respective projects and, similar to a balance sheet, can only ever be answered exactly in relation to a point in time. The question of the reliability of APESS® as a supplier, which particularly concerns the procurement departments of large customers, can be answered on the one hand through risk splitting by independent individual companies within the framework of the virtual overall company and on the other hand through more than 250 reference plants in a wide range of industries.

As an experienced entrepreneur, Reinhard Filzmaier is the company's managing director. He has been involved in the innovation process of APESS® systems for many years. Longstanding close cooperation with the inventor of APESS® and the many projects he has accompanied and implemented have honed his instinct for maximising potential, meaning that every customer and every planner can be sure of getting the best solution.
